The refined yet accessible menu includes a Cashew Cheese and Roasted Red Pepper Phyllo Cigar amuse-bouche, Chickpea Socca appetizer, mesclun green salad with warm cashew cheese, saffron-infused Root Risotto, and a choice of a berry custard tart or raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Located within the inclusive vegan coastal resort—Stanford Inn by the Sea—this cozy plant-based restaurant is offering its annual four-course Valentine’s Day prix-fixe menu for all the lovers on a retreat. Never stale, the chef has incorporated new items to distinguish the dishes from last year’s menu. Expect a Fokomati Roll amuse-bouche; Rustic Flatbread starter made with roasted red peppers and cashew cream; Chinese Salad with seared tofu, fresh vegetables, and chow mein noodles; a choice of three entrees (from Mushroom Scallopini to Lentil and Spinach Roulade); and three unique options for dessert. We can always count on this bi-coastal eatery to provide romance and impeccable hospitality for special occasions. This year’s Valentine’s menu includes five courses at $85 per person with an optional $40 wine pairing (wine is in the restaurant name—we don’t advise you pass on this).
