A new survey conducted by dating platform EliteSingles revealed the top 40 behavioral changes British men undertake to impress potential mates. Researchers asked 1,323 UK-based men about how they change their preferences in order to impress a new partner and compiled a list of the most common responses. In addition to admitting that they will refrain from smoking, pretend to like Bridget Jones movies, and buy more expensive shower gels, the men revealed they would embark on a vegan diet—the 35th most popular response. Choosing a vegetarian diet made the list as well, ranking at number 31. Nearly one-fifth of the men surveyed said they maintained the behavioral change throughout the relationship. “When we meet a new partner,” EliteSingles spokesperson said, “we want to put our best foot forward to make sure we impress.” An experiment conducted earlier this year in Australia revealed that men with vegan Tinder profiles fared far better than those touting bacon.
