This week, reality star and singer Adrienne Houghton (née Bailon)—founding member of musical groups The Cheetah Girls and 3LW—unveiled her new vegan handbag line La Voûte.  “Woke up this morning exhausted and grateful,” Houghton captioned a video announcing the brand on Instagram. “We’ve put so much into the launch of my vegan handbag line … sleepless nights, making edits, meeting deadlines, delays, and doubt. We do everything ourselves. We created our own logos, graphics, [and] website design, [and] we style and creative-direct our own shoots [and] we fulfill our own products—yes, I personally will be there for packaging your items, making sure everything is just right.” The fall collection of the La Voûte line features six items made with luxury vegan leather in black, white, and beige colorways, including vegan crocodile leather wallets, crossbody bags, classic shoulder bags, and pouches inspired by cumulus clouds. Houghton went vegan in February 2019 and documented her transition with a video tour of her refrigerator to highlight her favorite vegan foods, which included vegan cheeses by Miyoko’s Kitchen, Field Roast’s Chao, and Follow Your Heart, milk by Califia Farms, and ice cream by Salt & Straw.
