Reality star and business mogul Kim Kardashian West will add “vegan cooking instructor” to her resume this year during her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s second annual Poosh Your Wellness festival. On May 1, Kardashian West will treat guests to a cooking demonstration of her favorite plant-based meals and sister Kendall Jenner will host a happy hour featuring her tequila brand 818. “I cannot wait to see Kim showing us how to make one of her favorite plant-based recipes,” Kardashian told People. “And well, happy hour with Kendall is for sure going to be hilarious … pray for me because we will be drinking tequila.”

This year, the Poosh festival will be a virtual event with a ‘90s theme and general admission is free. Along with the Kardashian/Jenner clan, the event will feature experts in health, wellness, and beauty. “Having my sisters, alongside experts and thought leaders, is going to be like spending the day with friends—the kind of friends who can teach you something,” Kardashian said. The Poosh festival is also offering VIP passes ($190 per ticket) that will include a live meet-and-greet with Kourtney Kardashian and a swag bag filled with products from vegan brand Beyond Meat, beauty brand Youth to the People, and more.

Is Kim Kardashian and the fam vegan?

Kardashian West’s cooking demonstration will showcase the skills the 40-year-old star learned during her plant-based transition in recent years. In 2019, Kardashian West began removing animal products from her diet. “I am eating all plant-based when I am home,” she told her millions of Instagram followers. Shortly thereafter, the star offered fans a peek into her colossal kitchen, pantry, and walk-in refrigerator, showing off a variety of fruits and vegetables, rows of plant-based milks, and an entire freezer full of Beyond Sausages. In January 2021, Kardashian West went plant-based for a second time and brought her sister Khloé Kardashian—who ditched meat in 2018 during her pregnancy with True Thompson in 2018—along for the ride during what she called a “Sister Boot Camp” challenge.

Other members of the entrepreneurial family have released vegan product lines, including Kylie Jenner (who launched vegan skincare line Kylie Skin in 2019 after dabbling in veganism in 2017); Kendall Jenner (who debuted vegan oral care brand Moon in 2019); and mom Chris Jenner (who partnered with model Chrissy Tiegan to launch cruelty-free cleaning line Safely last month).
