El Careyes Club & Residences vacation resort in Jalisco, Mexico has launched a vegan Thanksgiving menu. The menu features a variety of appetizers, mains, side dishes, and desserts, including jackfruit confit with white mole sauce and almonds, turnip with traditional stuffing, sweet potato mash, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. The Thanksgiving meal will be available for dinner on November 26 at 6 pm. El Careyes also plans to offer a vegan menu for Christmas next month. This is the first time the resort has offered vegan holiday menus.

The new vegan menus were inspired by the new wellness programming offered at El Careyes, including the visiting yoga practitioner program and sound healing sessions, as well as an increasing number of visitors and residents from Los Angeles and other health-conscious cities.

Vacation destinations around the world are tuning into the increasing desire for vegan options. Last year, Emeralds Restaurant at the esteemed Anse Chastanet resort in St. Lucia transformed its menu from vegetarian to 100-percent vegan. And in 2017, all-inclusive luxury resort Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico launched several dedicated vegan multi-course menus available to guests at all hours of the day.
