Actress and vegan activist Pamela Anderson released a handbag collection in partnership with vegan brand Ashoka Paris. The collection was conceived by Andersen and designer David Mateo over a period of 16 months and is made entirely from Apple Skin, a vegan leather made in Italy from apple peels. Each bag is embossed with a message that reads, “Resiste! (Resist). Inside every beautiful person is an activist wanting to defend the planet.” The handbags are available in “box” (€270) and “pouch” (€230) styles and come in four colorways: nude, noir, terracotta, and rouge.

“Changing mentalities, defending victims, delivering justice, challenging politics … for 25 years, Pamela Anderson has been supporting those who are on the front line to protect human, animal, and environmental rights,” Ashoka Paris wrote in a statement. “Working on this vegan bag project with Pamela, a global celebrity and committed activist, is an honor and a fabulous experience. Behind the star we discovered an intelligent, approachable, sincere, and creative woman who is brimming with ideas and energy. It is this singularity that we have managed to express through this Pamela Anderson x Ashoka Paris collection.”

A portion of profits from the sale of every handbag will be donated to the Pamela Anderson Foundation, which supports organizations and individuals that stand on the front lines in the protection of human, animal, and environmental rights.
