Regularly cooking with high-quality, fresh ingredients is, arguably, one of the best (and tastiest ways) to keep our bodies nourished and feeling good. But the reality is that this isn’t always possible 100 percent of the time for all of us. After all, there are times when life can be busy, difficult, and overwhelming. But if you enjoy eating a nutritious, well-balanced meal at the end of a stressful day—and you don’t always have the energy to cook—then a regular meal delivery service may be a worthy investment.

There are many plant-based subscriptions to choose from, but one of the most popular wellness-focused, organic meal delivery services in the US has to be Sakara Life. Founded more than a decade ago, Sakara has increased in popularity over the years, and now the vegan brand—which counts on nutritionist and doctor input to formulate its meals—is worth around $150 million, according to Forbes. If you want to check it out for yourself, here’s what you need to know.

What is Sakara Life?

Sakara Life works by offering two nutrition programs to choose from, both of which vary in length. For example, there’s the Signature Nutrition Program. With this weekly program, customers can choose meals anywhere from two to five days per week. Meals in this program are free of meat, dairy, gluten, refined sugar, GMOs, pesticides, and harmful chemicals.

Alternatively, the Level II: Detox program is available monthly and is designed to offer a “deeper reset” to help reveal any potential food sensitivities. The meals in this program are free of grains, nightshades, nuts, soy, all sugars, and all of the ingredients eliminated in the Signature Nutrition Program as well.

What can you order from Sakara?

Alternatively, if you’re not interested in committing to a program just yet, you can choose to just order one of the brand’s supplements or snacks. Read on to learn more.

2 Granola

If you don’t want to commit to one of Sakara’s meal programs, but you love the sound of its granola dishes, don’t worry, you don’t have to miss out. Another option is to simply buy just granola straight from the brand! There are currently two options to choose from: the Classic Superfood Granola (which contains toasted coconuts, almonds, and goji berries) or the Plant Protein Granola (which features pecans, almonds, matcha, and sweet mulberries).

3 Super bars

Sakara’s super bars are the ultimate snack, as they’re designed to support energy and satiation (which means they’ll help you feel fuller for longer). There’s the Energy Protein Super Bar, which is flavored with cocoa and almonds and is packed with 12 grams of protein. The Detox Protein Super Bar, which is flavored with vanilla and tahini, is another option. It features nutrient-packed ingredients like blue spirulina, sesame seeds, and plant protein. The Metabolism Protein Super Bar (flavored with chocolate and sea salt) and the Beauty Protein Super Bar (which features lemon and poppy seed) are also on offer.
