Swedish food startup Raging Pig Co. (RPC) is looking for a “Professional Vegan Bacon-ifier” and will pay the right candidate $10,000 for putting its vegan bacon seasoning on all of their meals for 30 days. The remote position is open to all entry-level applicants worldwide—although, having prior experience in eating food is beneficial but not required. A general qualification for the position is an understanding or willingness to learn about animal, human, and environmental rights. The chosen candidate will receive 10 kilograms (22 pounds) of the company’s vegan bacon seasoning (and a 20 percent lifetime discount on RPC’s products) and will be responsible for buying and cooking food, sprinkling it with vegan bacon seasoning, and sharing videos and photos on social media. The chosen candidate will also receive a limited edition cape for all their vegan superhero-ing needs.
“Let’s face it. No matter what we do in life, we’re pretty much screwed in one way or another. If we, the human race, deserve it or not can be left unsaid,” the job posting reads. “However, wouldn’t it be pretty cool to play an essential role in unscrewing at least a small part of what we’ve screwed? For example potentially saving millions (perhaps billions?) of innocent, life-loving pigs from being slaughtered for human pleasure. Especially if all you have to do is to sprinkle our premium, super delicious Vegan Bacon Seasoning on your everyday meals.”
