Over the years, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has developed an effortlessly chic rockstar style, and it’s all been achieved with vegan leather. That’s because Barker not only abstains from consuming animal products in food but also does not support wearing animal skins to make a fashion statement.

“I’m always on the hunt for vegan leather, I love vegan leather,” Barker told People in a recent interview. “I don’t ever want to confuse anyone—when you see me wearing leather, I promise you, it’s vegan every time. I’m very, very adamant about it—like actually strict about it.”

Often seen wearing his vegan leather Doc Marten boots, the drummer is also a big fan of vintage T-shirts and has been collecting them for 15 years from second-hand stores, a move that also supports sustainable fashion. “I just love buying things that are used,” he said. “It’s better for the environment.”

Barker’s vegan ventures

After the life-altering experience of surviving a plane crash in 2008, Barker went vegan to help him heal his mind and body. Since then, Barker has shared his wellness insights with the world in various ways, including with Barker Wellness.

Launched last February, the vegan company incorporates a variety of cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, CBN, and CBC into tinctures and topical products that promote physical and mental well-being.

This month, Barker expanded his brand to include vegan skincare products that also incorporate wellness-promoting cannabinoids. The new skincare items range in price from $85 to $140 and include a 2-in-1 face mask and cleanser, a moisturizer, eye and face serums, and a renewal balm.

Barker is also an investor in Crossroads Kitchen, an upscale vegan restaurant owned by legendary chef Tal Ronnen. The first location of Crossroads opened on Melrose Ave. in West Hollywood, CA nearly a decade ago and has since become a celebrity hotspot.

In May, Crossroads opened its second location inside the Resorts World Las Vegas, becoming the first vegan fine-dining restaurant on the Las Vegas strip. Here, Crossroads also operates a more casual concept, CB/Crossroads Burgers, where the menu focuses on housemade sausages, burgers, fries, and milkshakes that can be consumed on the premises or taken to-go.

A third Crossroads location is slated for Calabasas, which will undoubtedly become a favorite hangout for Barker and the Kardashian/Jenner clan who call the celebrity enclave home.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker get into vegan food

Barker’s wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker considers herself “95 percent vegan” and has credited her husband for helping her along the plant-based journey.

This summer, the couple partnered with Daring Foods on a campaign to promote its plant-based chicken. Shot by iconic photographer Ellen von Unwerth shortly after the duo eloped in Las Vegas, the “Saucy” campaign featured photos of them inside a limousine with a bucket of vegan chicken at West Hollywood’s famed Chateau Marmont, enjoying pasta topped with Daring’s chicken.

“I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for the past 13 years, which has made me super conscious of what I put into my body and my kids’ bodies,” Kardashian Barker said in a statement at the time.

“I’m not fully vegan, but Travis has helped me keep to a mostly plant-based diet, which is so much easier with Daring,” Kardashian Barker said.

In August, Kardashian Barker also shared some of the couple’s favorite vegan places to dine in and around Los Angeles in a post on her wellness blog Poosh. She shared that Barker is not only an investor in Crossroads but a big fan of its chef-crafted dishes and the couple loves to order the Romaine Caesar Salad, Fried Olives, Squash Blossoms, Tempeh Piccata, and Chili Cheese Fries.

Other favorites include Monty’s Good Burger, Vietnamese eatery Âu Lạc Downtown, and Ma-Kin Vegan Sushi (a secret spot located in a strip mall in Agoura Hills).
